YKSA Joins TeamSNAP
TeamSnap is an online sports management platform with mobile application capabilities that will allow YKSA to better organize and run our league so that our teams and members can get the most out of our short (but sweet) slo-pitch season.
TeamSNAP FAQs
- Sign In or Create Your Account
To get started with registration, you should have received or have access to a link to the registration form found under the 2022 Season Tab This can also be found in our Facebook Group. When you click the link to begin the registration process, you will be asked to either sign in if you are already a TeamSnap user, or to create your account if you are new to TeamSnap.
2. Registration Checklist
✔ Add Participants
Once you are signed in you will be taken to the first page of registration - the participant information form. This is where you will add the information for your team details and it's representatives or your own information as a player depending on the registration form. Fields marked with a red asterisk * are required information. If you run into any issues with fields being required for your particular registration that you either cannot provide, do not apply to you, or otherwise are unable to complete, please contact us via email or facebook.
✔ Complete the Documents and Waivers Acknowledgement
If you see a red asterisk anywhere in the form, it means the information is required in order for you to proceed with the registration process. There will be a hint above the acknowledgement field to let you know how to acknowledge the waiver. If you have any issue or objection to the document or waiver requirements your organization is requesting, you will need to contact us to discuss this further.
✔ Checkout
Make arrangements to provide team league fees via eTransfer or cheque as explained on our 2022 Season Page.
There are two ways to get started:
- You may have a TeamSnap invitation sent to you by an administrator for your team or from a YKSA Board member; or
- You can use the registration form on our 2022 Season Page or on our Facebook Group
Depending on whether or not you’ve used TeamSnap before, your invitation may be handled in a couple of different ways. Check out this TeamSnap help article for info on how your invitation will be handled and instructions on how to accept.
Once you are finished up with everything form-wise, you can click the Go to Dashboard button on the final screen and you will be taken to the log in screen for TeamSnap. Keep in mind that until you complete checkout on your registration form AND your registered participants are assigned to a team by YKSA, you will not see any teams listed in your account. We recommend checking out our Welcome Guide for Members and Contacts to get you familiar with the TeamSnap Dashboard and getting started with TeamSnap.
The only thing better than TeamSnap is TeamSnap in your pocket wherever you go! Download the free app for iOS or Android, log in with your new username and password, and feel the power!
The mobile app can be used to chat with your team, to send push notifications, to easily enter or edit scores on the Schedule tab after a game has been played, and so much more!
If there’s a rainout or a last-minute field change, want to coordinate a carpool, or tell everyone where the celebratory pizza party is happening, this is the place to do it. Team members automatically have access to Team Chat and will be able to view previous messages.
Use direct messaging to directly message (DM) any roster contact that is a TeamSnap user (someone who has accepted their invitation to the team and has installed the most recent app version), and create group messages (GM) by adding multiple recipients.
As a TeamSnap member of a paid plan, you and your team has access to all kinds of great services including but not limited to:
Customize your notification preferences;
Sync your TeamSnap schedule to your personal calendar;
Update your availability to attend a Scheduled Game;
Check and sign up for Volunteer Tasks;
Take advantage of the easy-to-use TeamSnap Live!, Team Chat as well as Direct/Group Messaging;
Enter game scores;
And more!
While a game is in progress and for two hours after the game, the score can be entered using TeamSnap Live! on the mobile app. This feature is accessible by any team member with access to TeamSnap. Once this window has passed for an active game, only a designated team manager or owner has the ability to enter or edit the final score.
There isn’t a specific box to check for a forfeit – so entering a score is the way to record a forfeit. Any games forfeited by a team before 3pm shall record the game as a 77-0. All games will commence no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit for the offending team(s) with a score of 99-0 (so defaults can be tracked).
If you already have the game marked as canceled you can edit the game to uncheck Canceled, add a label of Forfeit, and score the game of either 77-0 or 99-0.
When entering final scores, team members with the mobile app installed and push notifications enabled for TeamSnap on their device will receive a push notification to alert team members that the final score has been entered. Currently, there is not a way to turn the final score push notification off.
