2024 Events
The YKSA Request for Proposal for the field maintenance of Fritz and Parker closes on April 18, 2024.
Field maintenance is planned to start the first week of May - weather permitting.
All teams must be paid in full by 01 June 2024 at 1159pm to secure a spot for the 2024 season.
The first games of the 2024 season will take place on May 27 - weather and field conditions permitting.
Submission deadline for Funding Requests for teams travelling to SPN Nationals will be announced soon. Proposals can be mailed to ykslopitch@hotmail.com. Please clearly identify the subject of the email.
The infamous Suds Cup Tournament is set to take place June 28 through to June 30 2024.
When: Thursday 25 July 8-10pm (estimated)
Where: Boston Pizza
2 teams of 12 will be drafted for each game!
Payment:
$10.00 per player entry will need to be paid AT the draft day by either EMT or Cash.
**This payment will be refunded if your not drafted!**
This payment is to cover our umpires, field maintenance, MVP prize, and team prizes.
How to be eligible for the draft:
Express interest to your league team captain on playing and what position (s) you feel most comfortable playing and they will email to league with your eligibility.
The purpose of this event is to provide players with an opportunity to play a game with others, provide all players from the league a chance to watch a fun but high competitive game, and of course to provide a positive community around the sport!

Want to play? Let your team captain know what position you would be most interested in playing. Your team captain will email the league with what team you are coming from and what position you would feel most comfortable playing and then you will be put into the draft!
Payment: $10.00 per player entry will need to be paid AT the draft day by either EMT or Cash. **This payment will be refunded if you are not drafted!**

Umpire Certification Reimbursement Process:
To receive reimbursement from NWT Softball for taking the Umpire Certification test, league members must complete the SPN umpire certification course for the 2024 season before July 31, 2024.

Umpire Gear Reimbursement Process:
To receive reimbursement from YKSPA for purchasing umpire gear for the 2024 season, league members must submit there requests no later than July 31, 2024 1159pm.

YKSA has requested to host the Co-Ed Territorial Championship tournament the weekend of August 09-11. Winning teams in each division will qualify to attend 1 of 4 National Championship events in 2025.
The last games of the regular league will take place on August 16, 2024.
Rosters will be locked in, with no further changes permitted as of 11:59 PM on August 18, 2024 - NO EXCEPTIONS.
League playoff games will be scheduled between August 22 and September 15, 2024 (if the WHAT IF games are needed)
